A great movie with a message that emphasizes the importance of family and the benefits of having ones you love. This film also successfully depicts greed as an unstoppable force of destruction. The visuals were beyond stunning and even found myself encapsulated in a world beyond my time and beyond my reach. A world where I know nothing and I appreciate everything. This is true cinema. the drawn out dialogue and the camera used to film this make it feel like a dream as intended. I think my favorite scene besides the “this is the girl” scene would be the diner scene. the way the detectives converse and the way the diner and surrounding streets feel empty and hot set up the climax of that specific scene perfectly. I fw it. Sometimes it was a little hard to keep track of but ig that’s just the style, people are meant to watch it more than once.
